Future Proof Games

The latest ep of our podcast is out (two days ago, oops 😸): futureproofgames.com/blog/2022

If you play Exploit: Zero Day, there's some chat about design work on new puzzle nodes there. If you like Rosette Diceless, we talk about the campaign I was in and some additional helpful bits we released. And if you're an Ossuary player (OG!), there's news about a weird bug in it.

😫 The itch.io winter sale caught us off-guard (we didn't get the email telling us to set it up), so I just spent a whirlwind couple of hours setting up banners and blog posts for both it and another upcoming holiday sale.

I hate when that stuff sneaks up on us, whether it's because we let it slip or because the storefront didn't send an email out. Seasonal discounts should be super routine (or, I mean, not a thing at all, because fuck steep discount culture and fuck capitalism).

This might be dorky, but I'm very excited is starting next week. 💃🏾 Aside from the stuff @gregoryaveryweir and I will be doing to bring visibility to our own stuff, I'm going to be doing a bunch of streams, writing reviews, etc. I'll try to share stuff I'm enjoying here.

😨 Today's the final day of (itch.io/jam/ace-jam-2019), and I'm still fiddling with my art generation algorithm. We're soooo close, but I'm worried about how much content I need to review/test, etc. tonight.

The game is super-cute, though. 😊 It's hard to keep the bigger picture/success in mind when it's like, "why won't this procgen work *exactly like this*"!

I write. I . I play way too much Fallen London. I collect tattoos. I will not call posts "toots".

I like learning to be more imaginative in devising solutions to difficult problems. 🎊
